Strudel Quickstart Tutorial
- On the front page, click the link "Open example dataset".
- Click on a chromosome. The homologies with the features on this chromosome are displayed as lines. Clicking on the background makes them disappear.
- Double click on a chromosome. This zooms in on the selected chromosome until it fills the screen.
- Hold down the Shift key and click and drag across a region on the zoomed in chromosome. This zooms in on the outlined region.
- Scroll with the mouse wheel to move up and down in the chromosome or use the blue scroll arrows at the bottom of the window.
- Move the mouse over the features on the chromosome. Their names will be displayed as you hover over them.
- Click the "Explore range" button on the toolbar and fill in the dialog to see features listed from a given region (e.g. a QTL). When
you press the "Find" button a table is displayed at the bottom of the screen which lists all the features contained in the region.
- Click the "Reset" button on the toolbar and the original view will be restored.
